Prova, one of Europe’s leading communications, commercial strategy and investment consultancies has announced the launch of Atomdip, an innovative service designed to accelerate the commercial growth of organisations in the circular economy, future mobility and cleantech sectors.
Atomdip helps unlock value in fast-growing businesses by guiding management teams with practical strategic, commercial and marketing advice at pivotal points of growth. With an affordable, modular approach and using long-standing practitioner knowledge, Atomdip leverages the natural connection between communications and commercial strategy to solve business challenges without the need for long-term board appointments or complex commercial engagements.
To lead the rollout of the new service, Prova has appointed David Mellor as Head of Atomdip. Mellor will be responsible for shaping and expanding the programme across the UK and internationally, and in partnership with the Public Relations Network (PRN) – a global collective of public relations consultancies.
Mellor is an experienced strategist, angel investor, business growth expert and mentor with over 35 years’ experience in logistics, technology, higher education and investment. He has mentored on programmes including the BCU STEAMhouse Hatchery, the Digital Catapult, and British Council DAE Creative Bootcamp in Argentina, and chaired the Co-Investment Fund Independent Working Group for the West Midlands Combined Authority.
More recently, David spent time as Head of Commercialisation and Growth at Birmingham City University and STEAMhouse and continues to support student and young people enterprise programmes, alongside consulting, mentoring and advisory roles.
Commenting on Prova’s new service, David Mellor said: “Atomdip represents a first-of-its-kind blend of marketing, communications and commercial strategy into one, cost effective package. Crucially, Atomdip’s inbuilt modularity makes it fully adaptable to suit business requirements, no matter which stage of its growth journey the company is in.”
Prova founder Richard Postins added: “We’re proud to have David at the helm of the Atomdip launch. His significant experience in taking firms through founding, scale-up and exit will be vital for rolling out the new service to our UK and international clients. At Prova, we’ve been offering communications and commercial strategy consultancy for over twenty-five years, so we’re delighted to be able to now offer all our services together in one, industry-first package.”
