Prova expands senior team with non-exec appointment

Ex Ricardo, Williams AE and Pi Research executive joins Prova

Prova, Europe’s leading circular economy, clean technology and future mobility communications consultancy, has appointed Iain Wight as a non-executive director. Wight brings extensive experience from more than three decades at the global forefront of new energies, motorsport and automotive to the UK-based firm.

A highly-respected strategic advisor, Wight was most recently chief commercial officer at EV battery firm InoBat. During an illustrious career, he has also held leadership roles at Ricardo Performance Products, Williams Advanced Engineering and Pi Research, as well as being chairman of the Motorsport Industry Association for more than six years.

In his new role at Prova, Wight will work closely with the senior team to drive portfolio expansion, while offering bespoke technical and commercial strategic consultancy to Prova’s world-leading client base.

Commenting on the appointment, Richard Postins, founder of Prova, said: “I’m delighted that Iain is joining the team. In our 25th anniversary year and with the circular economy poised to offer both the net zero solutions the world needs, as well as a profound commercial opportunity for innovative businesses, Iain’s involvement further assists us in developing our offer and driving commercial growth for clients the world over, across our PR and Investments businesses.”

Iain added: “I’ve known the Prova team for a number of years, through numerous roles across several sectors. I’m looking forward to joining the business at such a pivotal time, helping the team further cement its position at the forefront of future mobility, clean technology and the circular economy.”

Wight’s appointment comes as the latest announcement in a long line of successes for the award-winning UK consultancy. Over the past 12 months alone, the business has rapidly expanded its delivery team, announced a number of prestigious new client wins and further grown its investments portfolio, as well as hosting this year’s global PRN conference.
