Prova drives communications campaign for investee business

Prova, Europe’s only communications consultancy with its own growth-stage investment fund, has been appointed by portfolio company Composite Braiding, a leading manufacturer of advanced composites, to drive commercial growth through a global public relations campaign.

Twelve months since making a follow-on investment in the business, Prova has been tasked with elevating Composite Braiding’s market profile and driving widespread brand awareness. It will achieve this by positioning the company as an authority in green, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing solutions across the automotive, rail and logistics sectors.

Prova, an award-winning consultancy, launched its growth-stage investment fund in 2015 and has since built a high-performing portfolio. Composite Braiding, one of its latest investments, combines material fibres with thermoplastics to create advanced components much stronger than steel, yet up to 60% lighter.

By utilising its automated manufacturing process, components can be created quickly and at scale, reducing labour costs by 90%, waste by 97% and using 95% less energy than traditional composite manufacturing.

Steve Barbour, managing director of Composite Braiding, commented: “Our collaboration with Prova represents the crucial next step in our mission to drive horizontal innovation in automated composite manufacturing. Prova’s deep expertise in clean technology and sustainability communications, combined with its in-depth knowledge of our business from an investment perspective, will support our growth ambitions and help accelerate our work pioneering the next generation of low-carbon manufacturing solutions.”

Richard Postins, founder of Prova Investments, added: “Composite Braiding’s innovative approach aligns perfectly with our focus on accelerating the green economy through cutting-edge, technological innovation. Having first invested in the company back in 2022, and again in 2024, we’re now providing our communications expertise to further accelerate Composite Braiding’s long-term growth trajectory.”
