Prova director shapes future of PR in the Midlands
Prova director Aimee Postle has been appointed to the Midlands Committee of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). One of the largest regional groups in the country, the CIPR Midlands Committee boasts more than 800 members and organises training, networking and campaign-led events throughout the year. Highlights include the annual PR conference at Birmingham City University and the regional CIPR PRide Awards.
As a member of the CIPR Midlands Committee, Aimee will play a strategic role in helping to set the priorities for the regional PR scene, suggesting areas of learning and development, bringing in new partners and sponsors, and running the group’s social media feeds at key points throughout the year. She will also contribute to the annual PR conference, which is scheduled for Spring 2019.
Commenting on the opportunity, Aimee said: “As Prova celebrates its 18th year, we believe that the time is right for us to have a greater voice in the Midlands PR scene, sharing our experience of running international campaigns for globally-recognised brands while learning from the experience and expertise of the other committee members.
“We are growing our team, investing in trade body membership and training, as well as forging stronger links with the local universities. Joining the CIPR Midlands Committee felt like a logical next step in playing our part in shaping talent development and further boosting the reputation of the PR industry – to both potential clients and future recruits.”
