Passion

The brief was to build the new brand of Sims Recycling Solutions, part of Sims Group – the waste metals recycler, across Europe.

Purpose

We developed, directed and co-ordinated a media programme throughout Europe, utlising our own specialist network of environment PR agencies. We positioned Sims’ senior management team as industry thought leaders and aligned the business to critical issues such as the WEEE Directive.

Results

  • Significant growth of the Sims Recycling Solutions brand profile across the whole of Europe, where it did not exist previously
  • Coverage generated from inviting journalists to visit sites in different countries across Europe for briefings and demonstrations of best practice
  • Highlights in the UK included The Daily Express, BBC Online, MRW and Environment Business
  • High impact coverage in IT and business industry publications, including IT Week, Computing and Computer Weekly
