Next month will see the annual return of the Guild of Motoring Writers’ Awards Dinner, which takes place at the iconic Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, on Thursday 6th December. Once again, the leading lights in motoring journalism will be seeking recognition for their hard work, with the ‘Prova PR Business Writer of the Year’ accolade one of the top prizes on offer.
Richard Postins of Prova PR and one of the judges on the panel, commented: “Each year, we get more and more entries to the business writer of the year category and it only serves to make the job harder. We’ve gone through intense deliberations this year to select a worthy winner – one who not only demonstrates clarity of writing and high level research, but who is able to convey the complexity of the business side of the UK automotive industry with passion and dedication.
“We’re looking forward to announcing the chosen winner at the ceremony on 6th December and want to congratulate all of the talented writers who submitted their work for consideration this year. It has been an absolute pleasure and privilege to recognise and celebrate outstanding automotive business journalism.”
Chairman of the Guild of Motoring Writers, Richard Aucock, added: “We’re delighted that Prova was able to continue its support of the awards this year. We feel that it’s important for journalism covering the business side of the UK automotive industry to be recognised, with those that communicate to such a specific audience rewarded. We’re looking forward to announcing the winners of all of our awards in December.”
The Prova PR Business Writer of the Year Award will be handed out alongside other notable initiatives such as the Sir William Lyons Award for Young Motoring Journalist of the Year to recognise the motoring writers of the future, sponsored by Jaguar, and the Renault UK/GoMW Journalist of the Year. Other sponsors include Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Skoda.
