Prova PR will continue its sponsorship of the Guild of Motoring Writers’ Awards for 2012. The ‘Prova PR Business Writer of the Year’ accolade will be presented to the Guild member who has demonstrated exceptional work in either print or online business media. The winner will receive their award at the Guild of Motoring Writers’ annual ceremony at the RAC Club, Pall Mall, on 6 December 2012.
The judges will be looking for writing clarity and evidence of a high level of research. The winner will have conveyed effectively the complexity of the business side of the UK automotive industry in the specific area that he or she covers.
The award will be handed out alongside other notable initiatives such as the Sir William Lyons Award for Young Motoring Journalist of the Year, sponsored by Jaguar and the Renault UK/GoMW Journalist of the Year. Other sponsors include Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Skoda. The awards are open to all members of the Guild of Motoring Writers and entries need to be submitted by 30 September 2012.
Chairman of the Guild of Motoring Writers, Richard Aucock, said: “We’re pleased that Prova has decided to continue its support of the awards. We feel that it’s important for journalism covering the business side of the UK automotive industry to be recognised, with those that communicate to such a specific audience rewarded. It is great to have Prova supporting the Guild again.”
Prova PR’s Richard Postins commented: “We are once again privileged to support the Guild of Motoring Writers’ Awards. Guild members are highly respected throughout the industry and we are delighted that we can continue to recognise and celebrate outstanding work in automotive business journalism.”
Prova’s clients in the automotive sector include the Motorsport Industry Association, Triumph Motorcycles, Manheim, Drayson Racing Technologies and IMS, the commercial arm of the Motor Sports Association.
